Traditional Medieval Games

Our traditional medieval games activities include games you will probably recognize as well as ones you may have never heard of before.

Life in medieval times wasn’t all hard work and poor food. Adults and children all loved to play games and play with toys whenever they had the opportunity. Throughout the medieval period many different types of game were played, many of which are still with us today.

We can bring our traditional medieval games to your event, whether as a display for people to find out about the history of the games and, perhaps, to have a go; as a larger workshop activity for a museum open day, school enrichment day, or historical event.

When he’s not working in his laboratory Albert Harvey presents and supervises our traditional medieval games activities. He is able to explain the rules of each game and help you get started, plus tell the story of the history behind all of the games and toys.
